As I'm starting to
think about my training volume for 2013, I was interested in what I did in 2012.
This is the first time I look back at my training volume for the previous year.
I kept record in 2 locations; a simple excel file and the Garmin website. Here
are the statistics:

All: 281, 356 hours, 4640

Run: 111, 139.5 hrs, 1160

Bike: 75, 143.5hrs, 3340

Swim: 65, 63 hrs, 137

Other/core strength: 30,

So, what do I do with
this information? For now, I will only use it as a benchmark. I know I have to
increase my bike volume relative to the time I spend running, but I need to
find out what the right split is. As for the total volume, I do not intend to
do more. Instead, I will try to do more high quality training. More
specifically, I will do more interval training versus long, low intensity
exercise.
