اتفقت مع صاحب الدراجة التي في الصورة على شرائها. اظن ان السعر الذي اتفقنا عليه قد يكون مرتفعا قليلا اخذا بأيد الاعتبار ان الدراجة مستعملة، ولكنني لا اشتري دراجة فقط، بل قصة وتاريخ معها. فهذه الدراجة تابعة للورنس فانوس، الذي القبه بلورنس العرب. وهي ذات الدراجة التي فاز فيها على المركز الأول في البطولة العربية المفتوحة الاولى للترياثلون في شرم الشيخ في الشهر الماضي. نحن الان على وشك الاتفاق على كيفية استلامي للدراجة اذ اني اسكن في المانيا ولورنس العرب في انجلترا. من المحتمل ان انتهز فرصة رحلة عمل الى لندن في الشهر القادم لزيارة لورنس في لفبروا وقد عرض ان يريني اين يتدرب.
قد يكون ما اشعر به الان هو نفس شعور من اشترى لتوه صورة من فان جوخ. ما ينقصنى الان هي صورة من بيكاسو، وفي مجال الترياثلون العربي يكون بيكاسو الرياضي المصري عمر نور.
عمر، هل لديك لباس ترياثلون عليه اسمك وعلم مصر لم تعد تحتاجه وبامكانك اهداءه لي؟ :-)
I agreed with the owner of the bike in the picture to buy his bike. I think the price might be a bit high considering it is a used bike. However, I'm not merely buying a bike, but also a story and history that go with it. This bike belongs to Lawrence Fanous, or Lawrence of Arabia as I call him. It is the one he rode to win the first ITU open Arab Triathlon Championships in Sharm El Sheikh last month. We are about to agree now on a way for me to receive the bike given that I live in Germany and Lawrence in England. Most likely, I will use the opportunity of a business trip to London next month to stop by in Loughborough. Lawrence kindly offered to show me his training facilities there.
The way I feel right now is most likely how someone feels who has just acquired a Van Gogh. Now I need a Picasso. In Arab Triathlon terms that would be something from Arab Triathlete Omar Nour.
Omar, do you have a Triathlon suit with your name and the Egyptian flag on it that you don't need anymore and could give me as a gift? :-)
